Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.
Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with food collections at supermarkets. We hold these collections twice a year at Tesco Extra supermarkets in Rotherham and Wath upon Dearne. They are one of the main ways we boost the Foodbank’s stocks for the months ahead. We are always touched by how generous people are.
Our next collection is at Tescos on
- Wednesday 13 July (Wath)
- Wednesday 26 July (Rotherham)
- Thursday 27 July (Rotherham)
We will also be holding a collection at Tescos in December and will publish more details nearer the time.
If you would be able to give a couple of hours to help any of those dates, or would like to know more, please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
